Blake krings carpentry Work
Blake Krings Carpentry is a smaller scale carpentry business that specializes primarily in furniture, including interior and exterior furnishings. I have a passion for fine woodworking, like cabinets, furniture, trim work and specialized projects. I enjoy custom woodworking most, and I like experimenting with different methods to create a unique product built with top notch quality. Check out some of my custom work here.
Background & Education
I’m a small scale builder and work out of my shop based in Humphrey, NE. I graduated from South Dakota State University in 2016 with a degree in Construction Management and a specialization in Residential Construction. I’ve been working in carpentry since 2008 and I do all kinds of woodworking such as framing, finish work, furniture, custom trim, and some cabinetry.
Customer service and quality are the cornerstones of my work at Blake Krings Carpentry. I love to build, and I want to reflect that in my projects. When I do custom work, I do not receive payment until the customer is satisfied. Click here for information on ordering custom work from Blake Krings Carpentry.
While my degree is in Construction Management with a specialization in Residential Construction, I’ve recently been focusing my time on specialized custom woodwork projects. These include furniture, custom trim, and some cabinetry. (I can’t do cabinets in bulk right now. However, I am hoping to get in more equipment in the future).
If there is a project you have a question on that is not in these categories, you should contact me. When you contact me with a project, I may do a home visit to help draw up plans and come up with the details based on what you want. Then I give you an estimate on what I think it will cost and a time frame too, as I am not always able to start projects right away.
The Family Business
In addition to managing Blake Krings Carpentry, I currently work residential construction with my dad and two brothers, Nick and Tanner, in and around Humphrey, NE. Nick also graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Construction Management. We played football there together for two years. Tanner graduated from a community college in Nebraska before working for our family business. We purchase our hardwood lumber from Liberty Hardwoods. All other lumber comes off railcars and semi-trucks from sawmills all over the country. We usually partner with Mead Lumber when we build residential homes.
